Dr Eoin Fogarty
MB, BCh, BAO, FRCEM, FACEM
Dr. Eoin Fogarty graduated from UCD in 2004 and completed his specialist training in emergency medicine in 2014 by completing a fellowship at the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (London).
He subsequently moved to work in the prestigious Sydney Helicopter Emergency Medicine Service in 2014 before relocating to Melbourne to work as a registrar in University Hospital Geelong and as a consultant in Ballarat Base Hospital, Victoria. Dr. Fogarty completed his fellowship at the Australian College of Emergency Medicine in 2016.
Dr. Fogarty then relocated to Cork in 2017 and took up a full-time consultant post in emergency and retrieval medicine in Cork University Hospital (CUH). He took on the clinical lead role in retrieval medicine in Cork 2018. Dr. Fogarty’s main areas of interest include prehospital care and he successfully performed the first ever prehospital blood transfusion of a patient in Ireland in 2019 in Cork.
