CUH Emergency Nursing is excited to announce that the Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) will be delivered at Cork University Hospital this October in collaboration with Trauma Nursing UK Ltd.
This level 2 trauma course prepares nurses to understand and implement the systematic trauma nursing process. Nurses undertaking this 2 day course will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to undertake the initial assessment and management of major trauma patients and make the decision about whether to manage them in their hospital, or identify the need to transfer them to a Major Trauma Centre.
This course is ideal for any nurses working in both Major Trauma Centre’s and Trauma Units, allowing the same practice and language to be spoken across the trauma network. Over the course of the weekend, candidates will get to practice through simulation and team work as well as lectures and group activities on this highly engaging, fun and informative course.
The TNCC is a nurse lead course, delivered by trauma nursing experts from across the UK and Ireland and CUH is delighted to be able to welcome them Lee side for the inagural session this October, with plans to run annually from then on.
The course costs £660 sterling, and includes the TNCC Manual as well as breakfast and lunch each day.
