Learning Goals:
- Recognise life-threatening limb injuries as part of the trauma primary survey
- Recognise and differentiate limb-threatening injuries
- Learn the steps of catastrophic haemorrhage control
- Understand key concepts in temporizing management of limb injuries including wound dressings, traction and fracture splinting
- Anticipate and actively look for complications of limb trauma such as compartment syndrome.
