CUH Adult Trauma Module – Head Trauma

Learning Goals:

• Classify traumatic brain injuries by severity and type.
• Recognize key clinical signs and red flags in TBI.
• Apply the Glasgow Coma Scale and CT Head Rules in assessment.
• Identify common CT findings in TBI.
• Prioritize immediate management steps in acute TBI.
• Initiate emergency interventions (e.g., ICP management, neurosurgical referral).
• Adapt assessment and management to children, older adults, and anticoagulated patients.
