About our Clinical Operations Group
The Governance of the Emergency Department (ED) is under the Emergency and Acute Care (EAC) Directorate. The Clinical Director is Professor Conor Deasy.
The Service Line Management of the ED is provided by the Clinical Operations Group (COG) comprising Dr Rory O’Brien, Clinical Lead for Emergency Medicine, Aideen O’Riordan, Unscheduled Care Manager, Siobhan Scanlan, Assistant Director of Nursing Unscheduled Care and Norma O’Sullivan, Assistant Director Emergency and Acute Care Patient Flow, and James Matthews CNM3. The COG meet weekly to address all Operational, Quality and Patient Safety issues and provide oversight to the delivery of evidence based compassionate care.
